free spirit

she reminds me of a hippie :) and isn't her hair the coolest ever? she did that by twisting it around a pencil and flat-ironing it.Miss M. is a loooonnnggg-time friend of mine [i literally used to change her diapers (i'm sure she's just thrilled i announced that on my blog!)] - hence the reason she gets so many peeks :)

She was following me to one location, and I noticed the amazing sky and flagged her out my window to go the other direction, and this is the light we found!:

and I was so excited to order my sweet friend WYNONA'sCross-processing actions, and i used her "Fajita" action linked HERE on these next three - they were perfect for this shoot! Nona is an AMAZING artist, you'll love HER WORK.
What do you guys think about my posing her by the dumpster and the abandoned shopping cart??? I thought it was fun, but my brother looked at them and thought i was nutty :)

Your brother might think you're nutty, but I think you're brilliant!! You have an amazing ability to get your subjects to just let it all go and really open up to the camera.

Beautiful. Again.

For myself, I think the shopping cart is rather nutty but if that is her style then why not!

Beautiful! Those field ones are outrageous, they look like paintings! Can I ask about lens and settings (aperture)? And I like the dumpster ones, love the blue! Erika

These are all so gorgeous. And I love the shopping cart and dumpster (especially for her age). You have a nice mixture of styles, all amazing!! Love your colors, too.

My God, woman, how do you find these locations? You are the Location QUEEN! Absolutely stunning.

The dumpster is PERFECTION. I look at the world around me in a whole new way. If I had seen an electric blue dumpster, I would also be thinking, "Hmmm, who can get to do a shoot there??"

Love the shopping cart too, but it's just nutty enough that I'd like to see her in it, or pushing it madly towards the camera with a wicked gleam in her eye. OK, now that's nutty!

Stunning work as always.

AWESOME as always & I have LOVED Wynona's work for awhile also -- I love your use of locations, objects -- I second wanting to see her in it -- the cart that is--not the dumpster :) BEAUTIFUL girl & captures -- if you ever go into offering workshops on locations, shooting outside the box etc - I would be the first to sign up :)

Love your shots as usual. I love the dumpster, but I'm not sure I'm diggin' the shopping cart one. Not sure why, but it doesn't do a lot for me. I'm going to check out those actions! Thanks for the link!

I agree with everyone else for the most part...I love the field pics (they look like paintings), I like the blue from the dumpster and you were thinking out of the box, but not so much in love with the cart (maybe if you used it differently...I don't know). I am so proud to call you my sister!
