california jack

i'm so lucky - i had the most wonderful hosts in california, my bff's sister & her adorable little guy & hubbie (who made the.best.steak. i've ever had, mmmmmm.)

my cali trip top 10:
1. hangin' on the beach with jack & his sweet mom
2. road trippin' with bff, alison (this one is really a tie for first place, liso =)
3. jose villa workshop
4. john's steak
5. dolphins
6. chattin' with Val Kilmer (yes, for real)
7. lemon orchards
8. trader joe's (why oh why are you not in utah?!?!)
9. successfully retreiving my luggage from sweet 93-year-old Marvin, who swiped it
10. in-n-out

...and just for the record: yes, i do love california more than anywhere else. yes, i do want to live there. yes, i will go back any chance i get. yes, you can fly me out for a session =)

let's see...where was I?....

ah, yes - the Jose Villa Workshop. It was amazing, & I highly recommend! Afterall, he is one of THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHERS IN THE WORLD. He shared SO much and was willing to answer any questions. And although he shoots film, his info was completely applicable to either format. Here are some of my digital images:
