Small Group Mentoring

I am very excited to have the opportunity to team up with 2 amazing photographers and teachers, Rebecca Mudrick (aka Darling Art) and Dena Robles, to teach small group mentoring sessions Tuesday, July 21st &/or Wednesday, July 22nd in Salt Lake City.

Here's what we're tentatively planning [detailed info will be available once we establish interest]:
A full day of mentoring with all three photographers. $500 for a full day. 21 participants total. There will be instruction, and then in small groups, you will have the opportunity to watch each of us do separate on-location shoots, covering indoor and outdoor shooting, interaction, and posing. Then we will demonstrate our photoshop techniques. And you will have the opportunity to ask any and all questions! (Beginner, hobbyist, and advanced levels appropriate. Lunch included. Spots are limited.)

We'd like to see who's interested before we book our flights, etc., so please email Rebecca if you are seriously interested at: info(at)darling-art(dot)com or leave a comment on the Darling Art blog.

These ladies are AMAZING - extrememly talented, knowledgeable and skilled. They are "masters" at indoor shooting and black&white images, it is such a valuable opportunity to learn from them! I will be teaching outdoor shooting, lighting, posing and my own color and b/w techniques.

I am moving to Arkansas this summer, so if you were interested in a mentoring session, this might be your chance to catch me in Utah! Local photographers welcome. Email us!

some of you may recognize these gorgeous girls. And if so, you can now address her as "Master Megan", 'cause she just finished defending her thesis, and i think that is so awesome, congrats Megan! [and do you know how old i feel right now? i used to babysit these girls - wahhh, i'm getting old!] we had a BLAST!

sassy

This session was just for fun - just because they're in love - and that's awesome! They wanted "sassy" - they made achieving that pretty easy =)

the one you've been waiting for!

They're here!!! The amazing Michelle has been at it again! This is the style so many of you have asked me about, similar to the one on the homepage of the website. 2 variations are available, and remember: it's completely REVERSIBLE, so it's like getting 2 aprons for the price of one.

First up, meet "Penelope":

The reversible side (loooovvvee this!):

The 2nd style - meet "Paisley":

and the reverse side:

Get one HERE! They would make a super-cute Mother's Day gift! It's so fun to photograph these aprons. I'll try to take a close-up shot to show you the quality and all the detail with the ribbons, etc.

i'm alive!

So sorry i haven't been the best blogger, but i have some really, really exciting things going on and coming up, so i hate to promise anything, but i really do think i'll be a good better blogger.

here's a shot from out by the Great Salt Lake. it was freezing, frigid cold. Ashlee was such an awesome model, too - she is much, much younger than you're thinking she is. i love her look - she has cat eyes and her lips make me so jealous. just one for now. gotta ease back into this =)
