bliss

This image is from my very first photoshoot and they are still my all time faves. Even though they are technically lacking, I still love them. Just goes to show that you can have a lot of fun with a Rebel xt and 50 1.8 lense =) ***click on the image to view***I'm working on my new website right now, and it's so hard and so fun at the same time. I'm trying to chose one of three shots from this series for the front page. Which one do you like best? [the 2nd one here looks different cause I proofed it almost a year ago, before I had my actions done.]

I would really appreciate if any of you would be willing to critique it for me before I go live. Would you leave me a comment if you would? You don't have to be a professional photog - I would like to know how it strikes you and whether or not the images I chose are strong ones. I would be willing to do the same if you want to swap "services", too - I would love that!

So I decided to go with the Pantone Huey calibration system, but it appears that the Spyder2 Express is a good one, too. I am so excited to get it - sounds like you all love these. And of course you can never leave Amazon with only what you came for, so I threw this in the cart, too =) I LOVE this author - she and Patricia T. Holland are the 2 most inspirational women to me.

This song is definitely the song of the week:

autoplay_video()

And if you loved that as much as I do, then go get "Samson" and "On the Radio", too!

Congrats on your new site! Can't wait to see it!! My vote is #1...I love that it looks like she's up to something, or really contemplating something. The colors are fantastic and the composition is perfection. Just my $.02. :) TFS

#1 feels really good to me. There is something about the empty space being on the left that I like...and I like her looking toward the space too. The color looks amazing. I think you're fantastic...I find myself checking your blog daily. LOVE your taste in music too! Amy

I've always LOVED these photos, too! The color is UNBELIEVABLE!!! Seriously amazing! I think the last one really stands out to me. It's just so different & has such a great feeling to it! Beautiful!

Where can I check out your website? I'd love to look at it & give you some feedback, although I'm betting it's PERFECT!

I always seem to be the 'odd one out', but I really like #3. All 3 are great, but I love the composition in #3. There's something about her stance in #2 that makes me think she's just about to sit down, or fall over! Sorry, perhaps it's just me!?

Anna - I love the first!

Also - I too decided on a new calibration system. I went with the Eye One Pro and couldn't be happier! It made a huge difference! I am so embarrassed at how red and ugly all the pics I have been posting for the past year are! I have the urge to go back and edit every one of them but won't have the time!!!

I heard great things about the Huey too so I think it's a great choice! I can't wait to see your new site, I'm sitting on pins and needles waiting!

Hi Anna, definately #1 for me. Just a suggestion: what about more tightly cropped, so it looks almost panoramic, so cropping quite close to her head. Anyway just an idea!!! Love your work, I have your blog favorited!

I love everything about #1, except the expression on her face. It's a little too smirky for me and I think I would prefer something with eye contact. I guess if you're into head swapping you could take the head from the second one and put it on the first one :) This is my totally non professional opinion and I realize that I've gone against many of the previous posters, so don't take me too seriously. Good luck with your website, I would love to see it and offer again my non professional opinion.

Initially I didn't like the look on her face in #1, but I think it's growing on me; it's definitely my fav. in every other aspect. I don't think anyone else could be more excited than I about your new web site. Oh, and I don't know if you remember, but the first time you heard that song was in my car. I was surprised to see it on your blog b/c at the time you didn't seem to be very impressed. Maybe you were just pre-occupied. I love that you've been posted music favs lately, especially b/c I love everything you love! Keep it comin'!

I like the vibrancy and lighting of #1 (but not her expression) Love the composition of #3, it's more alluring, and think it would be great for an opening page - looking ahead to what is next...maybe just adjust the saturation and contrast a bit...

Hi
I LOVE #2, but take the color from the first. #2 is more balanced for me, with the fence there on the right, and most definitely the expression is the best.
